Create a Mini to be the advocate for a resident or participant receiving care. This update introduces Minis – dedicated AI assistants for each of your clients. You can upload files to a Mini’s knowledge base so it can reference them when answering questions. You can also organise your Minis into groups to manage user access and sharing.

Feature Highlights:

  • AI Minis for Each Client
    What it is: The platform now lets you create a dedicated “Mini” (AI agent) for each resident or participant. Each Mini acts as that person’s virtual advocate, holding all their relevant care documents and information.

    Why it matters: This gives your team a tailored AI assistant for every individual in care, making it easy to retrieve client-specific details or documents on demand. Staff can simply query a Mini to get answers from the client’s files, saving time on paperwork

  • Knowledge Base Document Uploads

    What it is: You can upload any files – care plans, assessments, progress notes, policies, etc. – into a Mini’s knowledge base. The Mini will index these documents and use them to answer questions or generate reports .

    Why it matters: Important information is always at your Mini’s fingertips. Instead of digging through paperwork or multiple systems, staff can ask the Mini and get answers instantly from the uploaded documents, improving efficiency and accuracy in care decisions.

  • User Groups & Sharing Controls

    What it is: Manage access to Minis through flexible user groups and sharing settings. Minis can be shared broadly (organisation-wide), with specific teams, or kept private to certain staff .

    Why it matters: You can ensure the right team members have access to the right Minis while protecting sensitive client data. This makes it easier to onboard new staff (by granting them group access to relevant Minis) and to maintain privacy where needed.

  • Improved mobile responsiveness for using Minis on tablets and phones.

  • Various bug fixes and performance enhancements to support the new Minis functionality (faster document indexing, smoother chat experience).

How to Use It:

Minis are available to all users starting today. Just log in to Minikai and click the “Create Mini” button to set up a new Mini for a client – no special setup required. Once created, you can begin uploading documents to its knowledge base and assign the Mini to user groups as needed. We encourage you to create a Mini for one of your clients and try asking it a question about an uploaded document to see the value firsthand!
